Smith continues GB team's good form

As the youngest competitor at the World Youth Championships, to make the A Group in the 58kg category,  Zoe Smith stepped up to deliver a superb result to finish 8th overall, setting 3 PB's and British records in the process.  Following the standard set by GB teammate Scott earlier in the week, she made six successful lifts of 70, 74 and 75kg in the snatch and 89, 92 and 94kg in the Clean & Jerk to give a total of 169kg, an improvement of 5kg on her current U15-U18 British Records .   Joshua Farghally is the last of the GB team to compete and he lifts tomorrow in the 85kg category.

Other World Class Lifters in action this weekend are Joanne Calvino, Helen Jewell, Michaela Breeze and Natasha Perdue who are all lifting at the Women's Eleiko International in Lochen, Austria.
